Fatal Motorcycle Collision In Chicago’s West Garfield Park

There was a fatal motorcycle accident this morning (June 6, 2014) in Chicago’s West Garfield Park neighborhood.

According to Chicago Police,  a motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries this morning when a speeding SUV driver turned left in front of him at approximately 7:50 a.m.  The accident happened in the 3900 block of West Washington Blvd.

At the time of the collision, the motorcyclist was heading north on Pulaski Road, and the SUV was heading south.  The collision happened as the SUV attempted to turn left onto Washington.

The motorcyclist, identified as Phillip Keys, 31, of Chicago, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, he was pronounced dead at 8:14 a.m.
