Early Thursday morning (November 3, 2016) there was a fatal hit & run accident in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.
According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 4:00 a.m., as a northbound Chrysler 300 in the 2500 block of North Western ran a red light and collided with a 1994 Mazda.
The driver of the Mazda was identified as Aliser Maldonado, 62, of Chicago. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Chrysler 300, who fled the accident scene, was later apprehended and faces various felony charges, including reckless homicide.

Demetrius Frayzier, 30, faces felony counts of reckless homicide and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury of death, according to Chicago Police. He was taken into custody Tuesday.
