Dan Ryan Multi-Vehicle Accident Injures Two People

There was a multi-vehicle accident early this morning on Chicago’s Dan Ryan Expressway.

Details on the accident – especially its causes – appear to be limited at this time.

Media sources indicate that the accident involved four or five vehicles.  According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the accident happened shortly before 4:30 a.m., on outbound I-90/94 near 29th Street.

At least one car caught fire, and two people were taken to local hospitals, said Chicago Fire Department Deputy District Chief Jeff Lyle. One person was taken to Stroger Hospital in fair-to-serious condition and another was taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries.
