The accident involved a motorcyclist who was hit by an SUV (a Honda CRV) at approximately 7:26 a.m., in the 6400 block of North Navajo Avenue.
At the time of the collision, the Honda CRV had been traveling south on Navajo when it hit the motorcycle, which had been traveling west on Devon.
The motorcyclist, Omar Posos, 35, of Chicago, was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
According to Chicago Police, a motorist, identified as a 67-year-old man from Skokie, was cited for failure to yield the right-of way at the intersection.

The accident happened as the motorcyclist was riding east on Cermak Road at approximately 11:15 p.m. As the motorcyclist was in the 300 block of West Cermak Road, his motorcycle was struck by an Infiniti car that was turning left from South Archer Avenue.
The motorcyclist, Lawrence Talbert, 36, of Chicago, was taken to Stroger Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.
According to Chicago Police, the driver of the Infiniti, only identified as a female, was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

There was a fatal motorcycle accident on the Edens Expressway early this morning (August 27, 2013).
The motorcycle accident happened in the northbound lanes of the Edens near the Wilson Avenue exit. According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the motorcyclist collided with a bridge support at approximately 1:15 a.m.
The motorcyclist, identified as Willie Carrington, 29, of Glenview, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
No other vehicles were involved in this accident.

A vehicle struck a motorcycle driven by 24-year-old Dashawn J. Davis about 10:05 p.m. Sunday near South 5th Avenue and Harvard in Maywood, according to a Maywood police release. The driver fled the scene.
Davis was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and pronounced dead early Monday morning.
Tiffany L. Jenkins, 33, of Merrill, WI, is the alleged hit & run driver. According to police, she has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident which caused death; driving on a revoked license; and failure to yield.

Officers charged Steven Nach, 28, of Northbrook, with DUI, reckless driving and failure to reduce speed, in relation to the accident.

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon (June 20) in Lakeview.
The accident happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. near Grace Street and Lake Shore Drive. It involved a motorcyclist who fell off his motorcycle suddenly, who was subsequently hit by a taxi that was unable to stop fast enough to avoid the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Joseph Woss, 31. He was pronounced dead at 4:09 p.m. at Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
The accident remains under investigation.
