There was a shuttle bus collision on the Interstate 190 (I-190) entrance to O’Hare International Airport this morning (August 29, 2014). Fourteen people on the shuttle were taken to hospitals.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, the collision happened just before 6:30 a.m., and involved a privately-owned shuttle bus that for an unknown reason collided head-on with a concrete median that separated lanes leading to arrivals and departures.
The bus sustained severe damage due to the impact of the collision. It is unknown at this time how fast the bus was traveling at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
